Analysis and Design of a New Type of Tensioning Device for Belt Conveyor

Abstract: A new type of tensioning device for long distance,large capacity and high belt speed belt conveyor is proposed. The permanent magnet synchronous motor(PMSM) has unique superior performance. Based on the electric tensioner, the PMSM and reducer are integrated into the tensioning drum to realize the integration of tensioner. Based on TBYC-55-8(380) and the maximum static force of steel wire rope is set at 100 kN, the drum model is established and the finite element analysis is carried out, and the feasibility of drum design is verified. Intelligent tensioning device is the future development direction.
